In the Caribbean Sea, Military forces intercept boat carrying cocaine hydrochloride

In a joint operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force and the National Navy, it was possible to intercept a Go fast boat and its three crew members, two Jamaicans and one Colombian, with 133 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.

This boat was sailing in the Caribbean sea heading towards Central America; the interception takes place in the operational synergy and work together of the Colombian Air Force and Naval Aviation, that helped to found and lead the Units of the Rapid Reaction Guard up to the interception point, after several hours of pursuit under adverse climate conditions.

The units at sea moved the Go fast boat to the dock of the Coast Guard Station on the Island of San Andrés, where the material found and the people arrested were put into custody of the authorities. It is estimated that the price of the drug, in the illicit market, is more than four million dollars.

The joint work by the Military Forces in the Island region confirms the commitment to contribute decisively in the fight against transnational drug trafficking crime.
