In a joint and coordinated operation, carried out in Casanare conducted by the Colombian Navy, Colombian National Army, the Colombian Aerospace Force and the National Police, alias Sombrerón, head of Finance of the Residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, E-10 Guadalupe Salcedo, faction of alias Ivan Mordisco, was arrested.
The operation, sustained over time and carried out in the village of Morichal, municipality of Yopal - Casanare, was conducted, thanks to the integration of resources of the Military Forces and the Police, which led to the arrest of this individual, who would be the main logistical coordinator of the so–called Joint Eastern Command - Martín Villa del GAO-r E-10, while he was in a local house.
Alias Sombrerón would in the same way be one of the main people responsible for criminal activities in Arauca, Boyacá and Casanare, with a record for extortion and association to commit crimes. He would in the same way be a corruption agent, armed recruiter and logistics magazine for the criminal structures of the Joint Eastern Command.
The man was put into custody of officials of the Attorney General's Office.
This arrest represents a direct blow against the financial subsystem of the GAO-r E–10 and the Comando Conjunto de Oriente - Martín Villa, weakening the gaining of illicit rents, the coordination of criminal substructures and the logistical, war and drug trafficking networks that commit crimes on the Arauca River and border areas with Venezuela.
