The Naval Institution has supported this group of young people and their families in Providencia since 2020, providing aid, services and accompaniment to contribute to the reconstruction of the social fabric after the transit of Hurricane Iota.
The Colombian Navy accompanied a talented group of boys and girls of the ProviSkaters skating club, who arrived in Cartagena to participate in a sports championship. During their stay, they lived an enriching experience that strengthened their motivation and competitive spirit.
Within the framework of the institutional accompaniment, the Colombian Navy provided support to the delegation during its activities in the city. In addition to their participation in the Marcos Molina Montes skating rink, the children enjoyed recreational spaces that reinforced their unity, motivation and comprehensive development. In the competitions, the members of ProviSkaters obtained good results: three silver medals and three bronze medals, reflecting their specialization and permanent work.
In the same way, during their visit to the Naval Base ARC Bolívar, the young athletes toured the ship ARC 20 de Julio and got to know the resources of the Submarine Flotilla up close. It was an activity full of emotion, learning and inspiration, which left in them messages of discipline, resilience and love for their identity.
In total, 14 boys and girls, together with their companions, participated in this activity, reaffirming the commitment of the Naval Institution to supporting initiatives that promote sports, social projection and the strengthening of the cultural roots of the Afro-Raizal people.
