Guardacostas recuperó el cuerpo de un italiano desaparecido en Cholón

After more than 22 hours of searching, Coast Guard units of the Colombian Navy recovered the lifeless body of Nicolás Cudini, a 26-year-old Italian citizen who had been missing since yesterday afternoon, when he was allegedly involved in a maritime accident in El Cholón - Cartagena.

The body was recovered by personnel of the Coast Guard Station of Cartagena, which since yesterday was in the area conducting the search and rescue operation to find the whereabouts of the foreign tourist, who unfortunately was found lifeless.

Once the body was recovered, it was taken to a dock in the Manga neighborhood of Cartagena.

The Colombian Navy regrets the death of this Italian citizen and sends its condolences to his family and loved ones. In the same way, it invites people of sea users and tourists who during this time of year visit the resorts of the Colombian Caribbean, to inform the authorities in a timely manner of any action or situation that poses a risk to human life at sea, in the same way, to comply with the safety recommendations issued by the different authorities that have as their sole purpose to protect the lives of locals and tourists.
