This initiative seeks to strengthen cooperation ties between the two nations and provide care to the most vulnerable communities in the border region.
In a joint effort to promote development, solidarity and well-being in the Urabá region of Antioquia, the General Command of the Colombian Military Forces, through Joint Command No. 5, interinstitutional with the Mayor's Office of Necoclí and the support of the Arturo Calle foundation, AMPROVOL, Santa Alianza, Minuto de Dios, Totto, Juan Corpas, Profamilia, and binational with the National Border Service of Panama – SENAFRONT, among other allied organizations, carried out the Joint Colombia–Panama Binational Humanitarian Assistance Mission 2025, a development support activity carried out in Colombia (Necoclí) and Panama (Puerto Obaldía).
During three days of activity, various services were provided in the areas of optometry, pediatrics, speech therapy, general medicine, internal medicine, orthopedics, dentistry, dental surgery, psychology, gynecology, nursing, epidemiology, physiotherapy, veterinary medicine, family medicine, as well as recreational, cultural and wellness activities.
As a result of this mission, and deploying resources to support the development and well-being of Colombian National Army, the Colombian Navy, the Colombian Aerospace Force, and the National Border Service of Panama, more than 3,600 people from both Colombia and Panama were assisted, and 15 tons of humanitarian aid were distributed, including non-perishable food, clothes, toilet kits, food baskets, school kits and medicines.
A binational work for hope and cooperation

This activity reflects the commitment shared by Colombia and Panama to strengthen ties, cooperation and development for the benefit of border communities, works to increase access to essential services and improve the living conditions of those who need it most.
In addition to the medical and social component, the mission included cultural presentations by the musical group Nota 7 of Colombian National Army, and family recreation spaces that included face painting, balloon twisting, popcorn and cotton candy celebrate a sweet day and pedagogical activities aimed at the well-being of the community.
A joint operation that leaves good memories
During the event, the civil, military authorities and representatives of the participating foundations highlighted the importance of working in a coordinated manner in favor of human development, health and regional integration, in addition to joining efforts to carry out an environmental cleaning activity on the beaches of the La Primavera neighborhood of Necoclí, thereby demonstrating the contribution to protect natural resources.
