With the purpose of strengthening access to health services in one of the most vulnerable areas of the country, the Colombian Aerospace Force, in coordination with the Professional Officers of the Reserve, Colombian National Army, the National Police, the Mayor's Office of Florida Valle, INALDE Foundation, Asocaña, ICBF, Family Commissioner and other allied institutions, carries out a Medical and Humanitarian Assistance Activity at the facilities of the Absalón Torres Camacho School, in the municipality of Florida, department of Valle de Cauca.
This event was carried out with the aim of strengthening the state's activity in the region, benefiting about 700 people with more than 3,198 services provided in general medicine, dentistry, psychology, speech therapy, physiotherapy, respiratory therapy, breast examination, social work, nutritionist, oral hygiene, operations for children, pregnancy tests, HIV and syphilis tests, screening, ear washing, glasses distribution and pharmacy service.
During the activity, vaccinations, legal advice, mental health care, haircuts, aesthetic nail care, disease prevention workshops were in the same way carried out, a service that significantly benefits these vulnerable people, who currently have very limited access to basic services.
