As part of the coordinated work conducted by the Colombian Aerospace Force, FAC, the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management, UNGRD, and the Government of Casanare, an aerial mission was carried out to transport 1,250 kilograms of humanitarian aid to the municipality of La Salina, department of Casanare, in order to support the communities affected by the emergency caused during the current rainy season.
For the fulfillment of this operation, a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter of the Air Combat Command No. 2, in support of the Casanare Air Group, on board of which food baskets and toilet kits were transported from Yopal to this municipality, in order to contribute to the care of the most urgent needs of the affected families.
This type of missions demonstrates the response capacity of the Colombian Air Force to support the acts of assistance and recovery in emergency situations, putting its air assets at the service of the communities and strengthening the coordinated work conducted by the institutions to provide timely assistance to the inhabitants.
