In coordination with the National Personnel Recovery Center, CNRP, the Colombian Air Force reacted immediately in order to carry out a humanitarian aeromedical evacuation of a man who suffered an accident in the village La Herrera, municipality of Rioblanco, Tolima, which was taken by ambulance helicopter around midnight to the Air Combat Command No.4, in Melgar, Tolima.

Due to the loss of roads due to the heavy rains in the south of Tolima, the transfer by land of the 28-year-old man was not possible; this is how the Colombian Air Force in the fulfillment of the mission, sent a helicopter Huey II ambulance, crew and medical personnel in order to provide the best patient care, being constantly monitored during the flight.

Upon arrival at CACOM 4, the Colombian Air Force medical personnel sent the patient to an ambulance that transported him to a specialized health center in Melgar so that he could be assisted in a timely manner.
