Through joint, coordinated and interagency operations carried out in the department of Antioquia, alias Cuchito, an alleged member of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, was brought to justice; in the same way, troops found and neutralized two rustic laboratories used for the production of coca base paste.
The Colombian Air Force, along with the National Army, Police and Attorney General's Office, carried out this operation in the rural area of the municipality of Vig铆a del Fuerte, directly damaging the Pablo Jos茅 Montalvo Cuitiva substructure that commits crimes in this area.
Precursors used for the illegal production of this drug were found by troops and destroyed under controlled conditions, including 400 gallons of gasoline, 200 gallons of DIESEL and 25 gallons of liquid cocaine.
With this result, the Military and Police Forces contribute to the reduction of the criminal component and the drug trafficking of the GAO, thus weakening the criminal activity of the substructures that persist in the department.
