From El Embrujo airport, on the Islands of Providencia and Santa Catalina, humanitarian aeromedical transfers continue to be conducted with COVID-19 patients, who are transported in isolation capsules monitored by military medical personnel.

A man, 88, last weekend, in the aircraft ambulance Caravan C-208, which has all the tools required for this type of mission, went from the international airport is Gustavo Rojas Pinilla to the airport El Embrujo, once in place, the staff of military doctors took care to stabilize the patient, and provide him with everything needed to ensure his health during the flight.

This type of aeromedical transfers are made with all the necessary elements to ensure the health of the crew and military doctors, such as the capsule for patients with COVID, surgical suits, tyvek suit, doctor coats, mono glasses, among other elements.

Once in San Andrés, the patient was given to an ambulance from his healthcare provider, which would transport him to a health center where he will receive all the appropriate treatments that guarantee his well-being.
