Colombian Air Force finds area damaged by illegal mining, in the department of Caquetá

In an important joint operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force, the National Army and the Colombian Navy, and interagency with the SIJIN (JUDICIAL POLICE) and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps), it was possible to find and disable an area used for activities related to the illicit extraction of mining deposit in Curillo department of Caquetá.

 

With this operation was possible to weaken the illegal activities of the various Armed Groups Organized waste, GAO-r, who commit crimes in the southeast of the country, more exactly the Structure Miller Perdomo. So the Colombian Air Force in a joint work with the National Army and the Navy of Colombia, and working with the office of the Prosecutor General of the Nation and the SIJIN, it was found and neutralized the area in the village El Cristal, in the municipality of Curillo, in Caquetá.

 

Thanks to the resources of the Military Forces, it was possible to destroy five illegal mines, five dredgers, three sorting devices, among other materials found in the area used for the illicit extraction of mining deposits, the case was transferred to the Prosecutor's Office in Florencia for prosecution.

 

In the south-east of the country, the Colombian Air Force continues to work, deploying all its Resources, in order to weaken these illegal groups that attack the country's natural resources.
