With the aim of continuing to work in favor of the environment, the Marco Fidel Suárez Air Base, participated in a planting activity that will contribute to the conservation of 20,000 hectares of forest in seven municipalities of Valle del Cauca, including Cali, Dagua, Yumbo, La Cumbre, Vijes, Restrepo and Yotoco.

The environmental activity was carried out in the municipality of Dapa, in support of the program Agua Para Todos, an initiative of Baxter Laboratories that seeks "the restoration of forests, with the global purpose of achieving carbon neutrality in direct operations by 2040”.

In the activity participated the community, different productive groups, local authorities, the Colombian Air Force, the National Army and the vice-chancellor, Marta Lucía Ramírez; in this encounter the first 65 trees of the 60,000 trees to be planted that will be part of the conservation of 20,000 hectares of forest.

Thus, the Colombian Air Force through the Air Combat Command No.7 and the Marco Fidel Suárez Military Aviation School, will continue to join these programs and initiatives framed in the environmental commitment, thinking about the conservation and protection of resources for the future of all Colombians.
