At a distribution of responsibilities table, the Ministry of Health, the Colombian Red Cross, the National Institute of Health and the Colombian Air Force, the Protocol for the realization of passenger flight was established at the Military Transport Air Command (CATAM), which will last approximately 30 hours.

The plane, a Boeing 767, of registration FAC-1202, programmed for the mission, will be divided into three isolated sections: crew, doctors and passengers. Likewise, the aircraft will be sterilized before and after the flight, for which spray equipment with hydrogen peroxide has been arranged. All crew members must adhere to strict protocols at the end of the activity.

The aircraft will be in Wuhan for about 4 hours, while all the protocols for boarding the Colombians are completed, for this, the Government of the People's Republic of China has established that passengers who have symptoms will not allowed to board the aircraft.

Consequently, a medical team has been assigned to thoroughly verify the health each of the beneficiaries of the flight.

The Ministry of Health has trained the flight crew, giving them Tyvek suits, special garments to fulfill these types of missions and ensure their sanitary protection, clothing that they must wear at all times. Likewise, the Air Force has shared the lessons learned from other humanitarian flights made throughout its first century of existence.
