The Colombian Air Force transported from Bogotá an oxygen machine for the San Rafael Hospital in Leticia and 780 liters of insecticide for the Departmental Health Secretariat, in order to continue contributing significantly to health in the south of the country.
Thanks to the early management on the part of the Air Group of the Amazonas, the Air Force ordered an aircraft type C-40 Atlas, to bring as soon as possible the machine of oxygen required by the hospital for the assistance of the inhabitants of Leticia, as the insecticide that will be used to conduct sprayings in the municipalities of Leticia and Puerto Nariño, with the aim of reducing dengue cases in the department.
It is important to highlight that, during the emergency of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Amazonas Air Group has contributed significantly transporting more than 100 people including patients diagnosed with COVID-19 and health professionals, as well as biosecurity material in support of the health centers of the municipalities and the hospital of the capital city of the department.
