Colombian Air Force transferred patients with Covid-19 from Leticia

In the fight against the clock to save lives in the midst of the pandemic, the seven patients diagnosed with covid-19 arrived yesterday from Leticia aboard the C-295 at the Military Transport Air Command, CATAM, to receive specialized care that guarantees their well-being, after failures occurred in the oxygen supply of the Hospital of the capital city of the Amazonas departement.

At around 4:00 p.m., the medical aircraft landed in CATAM from Leticia, fulfilling the mission of simultaneously transferring seven people requiring assistance in intensive care. It should be noted that during the journey to the capital city of the country, the patients were constantly monitored by medical personnel, with all the necessary equipment for this purpose.

Once in Bogotá, they were transported by ambulance to health centers, complying with all security measures.

In the same way, the crew and medical personnel of the Air Force are prepared to fulfill the entrusted mission, fully following the complete biosafety protocols that the Air Institution has arranged to carry out transfers of patients with covid-19.
