Meeting the requirement of the Ministry of Health, the Colombian Air Force transported 31 ventilators that will serve as support in the care of patients who are in the Intensive Care Units (ICU) in the city of Bogot谩.

The C-295 aircraft departed from the Military Transport Air Command (CATAM) in a night air operation to the Air Combat Command No.3 (CACOM3), located in Malambo, Atl谩ntico, where 24 ventilators and 1.5 tons of medical supplies and equipment was loaded. Subsequently, the aircraft landed in Corozal, Sucre, where 7 more ventilators were also loaded, thus fulfilling the mission of transporting to Bogot谩 essential equipment for the recovery of COVID-19 patients.

These vital elements were provided by the Mayor of Barranquilla and the Secretary of Health of Sucre, within the framework of the declaration of hospital red alert in the capital city.

Air Force crews and aircraft are ready to support the requirements of health authorities across the country, carrying out humanitarian missions that led to safeguard the lives of Colombians.
