Support in reconstruction work; Air Force transports firefighters to Providencia

In order to continue contributing to the reconstruction of San Andr茅s and Providencia, the Colombian Air Force, last weekend, transported, in a Boeing 737 (C-40) aircraft, from Bogot谩, 15 firefighters, who will help in the humanitarian work that is being carried out in the island region.

Thus, through the Military Transport Air Command-CATAM, the transportation of items, equipment, medicines and personnel in response to the emergency in the islands continues to be conducted, complying with State plans, supporting institutions such as the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management-UNGRD - in an effort to improve the quality of life of those who were harmed by natural phenomena.

The personnel were transported following all the protocols and security measures implemented by the Institution in order to prevent possible contagion.

In this way, the Colombian Air Force reaffirms its commitment to the reconstruction and wellbeing of the Department Island, by serving with its aircraft, crews, soldiers, and civilian personnel to conduct efficiently and effectively the transport of these aid elements, upholding the commitment to help the colombian people when they need it most, bringing hope in the midst of this difficult situation.
