Colombian Army brings joy to people displaced by the conflict in Cáceres, Antioquia

More than 800 people benefited of the recreational, sports and cultural activities carried out by our Comprehensive action and Development Battalion N ° 7

Antioquia. The National Army in fulfillment of its mission, conducts days of well-being for the inhabitants of this vulnerable community, carrying out sports activities such as flash tournaments of male and female futsal at the Monseñor Gerardo Patiño school, as well as recreational activities for children and adolescents who have enjoyed face painting, balloon twisting, inflatables and jumping.

This type of activities guarantee the right to recreation and sports, seeking to reduce tension in the territory and mitigate the bad experiences of the inhabitants of this population in the Lower Cauca region of Antioquia.

Around 500 adults and 300 children have changed difficult days for days full of joy and fun. All of this has been possible thanks to the support of the Government of Antioquia, the Eleventh Brigade, the Support Battalion of Comprehensive action and Development No. 7 and the Infantry Battalion No. 31 "Rifles".
