This result significantly hits the finances of illegal structures that commit crimes in the south of the department.
In a coordinated action against drug trafficking, troops of the 27th Magdalena Light Infantry Battalion, of the Ninth Brigade, intercepted a shipment of narcotics traveling through the rural area of the department of Huila.
The operation took place in the village El Cedro, a hamlet Bruselas, where a man and a woman were traveling in a vehicle. During the operations, members of the Military Forces found several packages of marijuana inside, which led to the arrest of the passengers.
In total, about 196 kilograms of the narcotic were seized, in addition to two cell phones, $2,000,000 COP in cash and the car used for illicit activity.
This result represents an approximate loss of 295 million pesos to the finances of the residual organized armed group, GAO-r, Teófilo Forero Castro structure, weakening its logistical capacity in this area of the country.
Each operation of this type not only reduces the flow of illicit substances, but in the same way directly hits the sources of financing of criminal structures that seek to maintain themselves in the territory.
Colombian National Army will continue to carry out operations and sustained operations to neutralize these threats working for security conditions in the south of Huila.
