The individual, native from the department of Choc贸, was put into custody of the authority to be prosecuted for the alleged crime of illegal exploitation of a mining deposit.
Through this result, it was possible to damage the finances of criminal groups specialized in this problem against the environment, thus mitigating the environmental impact of the water source.
Through these illegal activities, deforestation, the loss of biodiversity and the destruction of the habitat of animal specimens spread, as well as the contamination of the water that feeds the vital liquid to the inhabitants of the department.
