From May 18 to 23, 2025, the General Command of the Colombian Military Forces, through the Department of International Affairs, will receive an official delegation of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB).
The objective of this geostrategic visit carried out at the General Command facilities and in some military units of Colombian National Army, is to strengthen cooperation in Humanitarian Demining issues and consolidate Colombia's participation in the IADB.
In the same way, it seeks to implement a cooperation strategy to provide technical assistance in order to train and evaluate personnel in various areas relevant to several Latin American and Caribbean countries such as cybersecurity; women, peace and security; new technologies, protection and the environment, the fight against terrorism, transnational organized crime, and corruption.
Colombia is a regional benchmark in international security issues, therefore, it is a strategic objective to strengthen cooperation with multilateral organizations and other countries, in compliance with the commitments signed by the Nation, not only of the perspective of seeking greater effectiveness in the fight against transnational crime and other threats, but in the same way to guide the vision of the future of the Colombian Military Forces.
