Soldiers of the 16th Patriotas Infantry Battalion of the Sixth Brigade, in coordination with the Carabineros Police, and Cortolima, arrived at the village of La Linda, in the municipality of Casabianca, to carry out the arrest of six individuals while they carried out the illicit exploitation of gold type sinkhole.
Thus, a motor pump, a 6.5 hp power generator with a metal support, a polisher with a cutting disc, an industrial drill, drills, soldering irons, a motor pump, a blower and explosive elements were seized at the place.
These elements were used to carry out an underground excavation with a depth of 17 meters and a height close to 2 meters, illegal activity is carried out without technical criteria or environmental management measures.
Those arrested were put into custody of the authority for the crime of illegal exploitation of mining sites, in addition, the elimination of the confiscated elements is carried out.
