These individuals were arrested in flagrante delicto for the crime of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possessing firearms.
As part of the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan, troops of the High Mountain Battalion No. 7, of the Tenth Brigade, arrested in flagrante delicto two alleged members of the Northern War Front, of the organized armed group (GAO) ELN, in the rural area of the municipality of Agust铆n Codazzi, department of Cesar.
Thanks to military intelligence efforts, it was established that those arrested were in the village of La Vega, where they allegedly carry out criminal activities against the inhabitants and the Military Forces.
One of the detainees is alias Peyo, with more than nine years of criminal experience in the GAO ELN. This guy was a zone ringleader and was in charge of managing routes to facilitate the operations of the armed group in the region.
In the same way, 2 pistols, 3 magazines, 4 rudimentary grenades, ammunition, communication equipment and identification documents of foreign nationality were found by troops.
