This military operation took place after the events that occurred in the village Canelos, in Santa Rosa del Sur, Bolivar.
As part of the Ayacucho Campaign Plan, soldiers of the Joint Task Force Marte, a military unit attached to the First Division of Colombian National Army, arrested two alleged members of the Erlín Pino Duarte Substructure in Montecristo, Bolivar, at the service of the organized armed group GAO Clan del Golfo.
The military operation was carried out after the terrorist act perpetrated by this structure in the Canelos village in recent days. Through these operations, these groups seek to create anxiety within the inhabitants.
In the military operation it was possible to find 2 rifles, 4 magazines, more than 530 cartridges of different calibers, 4 radios and different materials and military accessories, used for the criminal operations of this organization.
The arrested and the material were put into custody of the authorities, who will be in charge of continuing with the judicial process.
