Within the framework of coordinated and inter-institutional operations, troops of the Rainforest Infantry Battalion No. 19 General Joaqu铆n Par铆s, in coordination with the National Police, arrested 12 alleged members of the organized common criminal structure Las Triadas, in the municipality of San Jos茅 del Guaviare.
The operation was carried out in compliance with nine arrest warrants issued by the Specialized Prosecutor's Office of San Jos茅 del Guaviare, in addition to three arrests in flagrante delicto. The detainees will have to face charges for crimes related to the manufacture and carrying of narcotics, as well as for the use of minors in the group for crimes.
During the procedures, a traumatic 9 mm caliber pistol, 2 kilograms of plastic, 20 kilograms of synthetic drugs and 15 kilograms of marijuana and 8 cell phones of different brands and references, allegedly used for the coordination of illicit activities, were found by troops.
This result constitutes a powerful blow against the illegal activities and criminal networks that disturb the tranquility of the region, directly weakening the logistical and criminal capacity of the Las Triadas structure.
