At the rural area of Anzoátegui and Venadillo, in a coordinated work conducted by the Military Forces, it was possible to arrest two individuals.
In the last few hours, soldiers of the Infantry Battalion N.° 16 Patriotas, of the Sixth Brigade, the Specialized Prosecutor's Office 164 DECOC of Ibagué, the National Police and the CACOM N.° 4, by means of five searches of raid in the villages Betulia, municipality of Anzoátegui, and El Salto, in the municipality of Venadillo, arrested the two individuals who were part of the networks of support to terrorism of the GAO-r Frente 26 de Marzo, Central Bloc Isaías Pardo.
The two arrested, known as alias Rolo and alias Luis, were key figures for these dissidents. They were commanded by alias Míller, who was killed in the framework of military operations days ago. These individuals were in charge of providing intelligence to the Military Forces and pointing out the victims of extortion; in addition, they provided accommodation to alias Míller, in order to hide him of the authorities.
With their arrests, troops find a revolver, a shotgun and cartridges of different calibers.
The individuals were put into custody of the authority for the crimes of manufacturing, trafficking and carrying firearms and ammunition.
Through this result of the powerful military operation, the troops of the Military Forces send a message of tranquility to the inhabitants of the north of Tolima.
