These arrests were made possible by five search warrants in the sector known as invasión Los Gallos, municipality of Planadas, department of Tolima. Arrests were in the same way made during the operation.
Soldiers of the 17th General Domingo Caicedo Infantry Battalion, of the Sixth Brigade, in coordination with the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, executed five search warrants in the Los Gallos invasion sector, of the municipality of Planadas. During the procedure, five people were arrested, who apparently belonged to the residual organized armed group, GAO-r, Geronimo Galeano Front, a substructure of alias Ivan Mordisco.
According to the investigations, these individuals would be in charge of the commercialization of narcotics in the south of Tolima, generating monthly incomes exceeding 50 million pesos, resources that apparently were intended to strengthen their armed capacity and the control of the distribution of alkaloids in the region.
During the raids, 2 shotgun-type firearms, 300 doses of marijuana, 32 doses of bazuco (crack), precision scales, 9 mm caliber cartridges, 38 caliber cartridges, 16 caliber cartridges and 3 cell phones were seized.
Those arrested were put into custody of the authority for the crimes of trafficking, manufacturing and carrying narcotics, as well as manufacturing, trafficking and carrying firearms or ammunition.
