One of them responds to the alias of Cristian or el Flaco, who apparently is the second ringleader of the zone of the focused criminal component of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, in Yarumal, Antioquia, and would be in charge of collecting money from extortions, controlling illicit activities, armed and financial strengthening in the region.
With the purpose of weakening the resources of the threat and stabilizing the territories, troops of the Field Artillery Battalion No. 4 Coronel Jorge Eduardo Sánchez Rodríguez, of the Fourth Brigade, and the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI), of the Attorney General's Office, arrested alias Cristian or el Flaco and his girl partner, who apparently would in the same way be part of the Edwin Román Velásquez Valle substructure, of the GAO Clan del Golfo.
The military operation took place in the village of Biogui, municipality of Toledo, north of the department of Antioquia, where troops found 1,600 cartridges of different calibers, a rifle, a handgun, 30 magazines, 31 9 mm caliber cartridges and various units of communication equipment, which were taken into custody by the authority for the corresponding judicial procedures, as well as those arrested.
These people were in charge of maintaining a nodal point established by the illegal group within the territorial expansion plan in the Northern subregion of the department, as a strategic mobility route.
