Thanks to the union of efforts by the Fourteenth Brigade, the Municipal Mayor's Office, the Ministry of National Defense, the National Police and other public and private sector institutions, it was possible to make various services and recreational activities for the people.
More than 140 kilometers from the capital city of Antioquia is the municipality of Amalfi, which stands out for its water resources and beautiful natural landscapes. This territory became the epicenter of a great assistance activity, with a wide range of services and recreational spaces, led by the soldiers of the Light Infantry Battalion Nº 42 Batalla de Bomboná, in coordination with the Battalion of Comprehensive Action Support and Development Nº 7, as well as with the participation of the municipal hospital, the Amprovol Foundation, the Riachón Cooperative, Asocomunal, the Asperla NGO, among other institutions.
In order to improve the living conditions of the inhabitants of the Northeast of Antioquia, health services such as general medicine, physiotherapy, nursing, dentistry, psychology, nutrition, vaccination, cytology and medication distribution were provided. Legal advice, beauty services, social care and access to institutional programs were in the same way provided.
At the same time, presents and donations were distributed, as well as recreational activities by the soldiers of Comprehensive Action, who generated spaces of fun and healthy recreation for girls, boys and adolescents, with the accompaniment of the Community Police. This managed to strengthen the social fabric and reaffirm the institutional commitment to the well-being of Colombians.
For her part, the municipal Government secretary, Luisa María Estrada, expressed her gratitude to the institutions for making this activity possible and said: We thank Colombian National Army, the National Police and the hospital of the municipality of Amalfi for being part of this development support activity, which manages to provide various services to the Amalfi people, people who have suffered multiple human rights violations.
