In a powerful operation carried out in the south-east of the country, troops of the Rainforest Brigade No. 22, a to the Fourth Division of Colombian National Army, reported the recovery of a minor who had been forcibly recruited by the residual organized armed group, GAO-r Jhon Linares, of the faction alias Calarcá, who commits crimes in the department of Guaviare.
The facts took place in the village of Puerto Flores, a rural area of the municipality of San José del Guaviare, during a combat against members of the Isaías Carvajal mobile group, one of the most active structures of this criminal group.
As part of the operation, it was possible to recover the minor and an AK-47 rifle, more than 300 7.62 mm caliber cartridges and several magazines were seized, which significantly weakens the logistical and fire capacity of this criminal organization, responsible for acts of intimidation, extortion and violence in the departments of Meta, Guaviare and Vaupés
This result complements the sustained operations carried out by the Fourth Division of Colombian National Army in the region, reaffirming its commitment to the protection of the inhabitants, the restitution of rights to children and adolescents recruited illegally, and the neutralization of threats that alter the security and tranquility of the communities of the Colombian southeast.
