700 kilograms of pressed marijuana were found by troops, which mainly hit the illegal finances of the residual Organized Armed Group of alias Gentil Duarte, specifically the Carolina Ramírez Structure, whose main ringleader is alias Danilo Alvizú.
During security and defense operations, National Army troops, in coordination with the National Police, found more than half a ton of marijuana and arrested four individuals who were caught transporting it over the Yarí River.
This result was made possible thanks to military intelligence information, which began a river movement to the sector known as Bocas del Yarí, where a boat with four individuals on board was intercepted; when inspecting the boat, 18 sacks and 691 blocks with 700 kilograms of pressed marijuana were found by troops, the shipment was intended to be transported to Brazil.
The individuals involved in this incident were put into custody of the competent authorities for the respective judicial process.
