The narcotic drug transported in a UAZ-type vehicle, by a rural road in the south of Tolima, was destined for the center of the country.
Troops of the Rapid Deployment Battalion Nº 13, of the Rapid Deployment Force Nº 5, in support of the Sixth Brigade and thanks to intelligence information from this Brigade, found in the village of La Herrera, in the municipality of Rioblanco, a UAZ vehicle in which a individual with more than 425 kg of marijuana was traveling, which would belong to the GAO-r Ismael Ruiz.
The soldiers, thanks to the information provided by Military Intelligence, found the vehicle through a checkpoint, and when they checked inside, they found 28 bags of what would be marijuana. The shipment, coming from the Valle del Cauca, would be destined for the center of the country.
The man, along with the drugs found, was put into custody of the authority for urgent acts, for the alleged crime of trafficking, manufacturing and carrying narcotics.
This result of the military operation of the Sixth Brigade strategically strikes at the illegal activities of this group outlaw, and effectively weakens the resources of the threat of the Ismael Ruiz Front.
