This area was found in a rural area of the municipality of Mistrat贸, which was apparently going to be used by members of the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo in the department.
In compliance with the Ayacucho Plus Plan, ground troops of the 8th San Mateo Field Artillery Battalion arrived at a remote area in the village of La Mar铆a, in this western municipality of Risaralda, with a clear order to sweep the terrain.
The soldiers, during the reconnaissance, found an area that was suitable for troops camp, which, in turn, had hidden an illegal hideout with war material, military accessories material and communications equipment, among other elements, to coordinate the arrival of more members of this organization in the region.
Three long rifle cartridges, pixelated, uniforms camouflaged campaign equipment, tactical sweaters, multi-mission helmets, combat boots, tents, glasses, bracelets alluding to the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, two micro telephones, a radio, alkaline batteries, different medicines, civilian clothes, blankets and toiletries were found by troops, which were to be used by members of this organized armed group.
The elements would belong to the Edwin Rom谩n Vel谩squez Valle Substructure, and were hidden by its criminal component. This finding represents a blow to logistics, and hits the expansionist intentions of this criminal organization in all the municipalities of the department of Risaralda.
