Colombian National Army found a collection center for substances destined for the GAO ELN

Ejército Nacional ubicó un centro de acopio de sustancias que tenían como destino el GAO ELN

The operation hits the transnational trafficking activities of the GAO ELN by approximately 3,000 million pesos.

An operation by the Thirtieth Brigade of Colombian National Army, coordinated with the National Police and aimed at weakening the drug trafficking chain, was carried out in the Aguas Claras village of Ocaña, Department of Norte de Santander, revealing a large amount of chemical substances used to supply laboratories for the manufacture of narcotics, with a production capacity of 20 tons of cocaine, which are distributed in the Catatumbo region.

The troops of the Infantry Battalion No.15, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, and in a search procedure they dismantled the collection center where they found about 10,000 gallons of liquid supplies that would be transported by a national network of chemical trafficking at the service of this illegal group.

The operation hits the criminal finances for about 3,000 million pesos, as well as the activities of transnational trafficking in illicit substances and its criminal dynamics such as the purchase of weapons and explosives with which members of this illegal armed group attack people and the Military Forces.
