Colombian National Army found an illegal explosives hideout in the rural area of Mongua, Boyacá department

Ejército Nacional localizó depósito ilegal de explosivos en zona rural de Mongua, Boyacá

Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plus Operations Plan and the military operations carried out in the department of Boyacá by troops of the First Brigade, aimed at countering the acts of organized armed groups, explosive elements were found by troops in the rural area of the municipality of Mongua.

 

The finding was made by troops of the Field Artillery Battalion No. 1 Tarqui, who found an illegal hiding place in the village Duce, in the municipality of Mongua.

 

According to preliminary information, the elements would belong to the Ramirez Group, the José David Suárez Front, the organized armed group, GAO, ELN.

 

During the operation, the troops found four 60-millimeter grenades, which were destroyed in controlled conditions, in accordance with the established protocols, preventing risks and damages for the inhabitants and for the troops.

 

The First Brigade of Colombian National Army continues to carry out sustained operations within the framework of the Ayacucho Plus Plan, with the aim of providing security and tranquility to the inhabitants of the region, and invites citizens to continue reporting events that threaten security through the secure line 107.
