Colombian National Army actively participated in the preparation and distribution of vulnerable first aid items for families hit by the heavy rains in the department.
The Commitment to Colombia knows no barriers. In a unified operation, and within the framework of the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan, the Omega Task Force of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the Guaviare Governorate, the Mayor's Office of San Jos茅 del Guaviare, the National Police, the Social Prosperity Office and the World Food Program, carried out the distribution of food baskets to families hit by the emergency caused by rains.
After extensive logistical activities, soldiers of the Rapid Deployment Force N潞 11, unit a of the Omega Task Force, collaborated in a timely manner in the disembarkation of truck-type vehicles loaded with food, the classification of products and the preparation of more than 20,000 bags with dry groceries, such as grains and cereals.
These humanitarian aid kits were distributed to the villages of Guacamayas, Boquer贸n and Respl贸n, in the municipality of San Jos茅 del Guaviare, areas heavily impacted by the rains, which left floods, loss of belongings and multiple material damages.
