After the surrender to justice of 104 members of the GAO-r dissidents Frente 33 in the Catatumbo region, Colombian National Army has intensified its efforts to convey a clear message to the GAO ELN: the way of the demobilization and the return to legality is your best option.
With the support of the Aviation Mobility and Maneuver Battalion No. 2, brochures have been launched from helicopters over the areas of military operations, aimed at members of this armed group outlaw, promoting demobilization and surrender through the Demobilized Assistance Program (GAHD), established by the National Government.
This strategy aims to ensure that individuals can return to a life of peace and legality, providing the opportunity to be an active part in the social and economic reconstruction of their regions.
