This military operation is taking place within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan and the national Government's defense policies.
Soldiers of the Eleventh Brigade of Colombian National Army, in recent hours, engaged a combat against members of the substructure Uldar Cardona Rueda, of the armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, in the village La Corona, municipality of El Bagre, Antioquia.
In this event, a member of this organized armed group was killed during military operations. In the same way, two rifles, more than 190 cartridges, four magazines, military accessories and material alluding to this gang were found by troops, which were put into custody of the authorities.
Meanwhile, it was possible to recover a minor and find a camp area, which had the capacity to house more than 10 members of the substructure, where a shotgun, more than 350 cartridges of different calibers, military accessories, communication elements and medical supplies were found by troops.
The Colombian National Army's military operation in the region continues with the aim of continuing to damage the logistical and criminal networks of the different illegal armed groups that commit crimes there.
