It is presumed that these lethal weapons had been planted by members of the residual organized armed group (GAO-r) Structure 36, Magdalena Medio Bloc.
Within the military operations framed in the fulfillment of the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan and its strategic objective of protecting the inhabitants, troops of the Light Infantry Battalion N.42 Batalla de Pumponá, of the Fourteenth Brigade, reported the finding of six improvised explosive devices and means of launching on the roads that contact the municipality of Anorí with the city of Medellín and the inhabitants of Campamento, in the department of Antioquia.
As soon as the soldiers knew the information on these devices, they began planning to carry out their destruction in controlled conditions, preventing hitting inhabitants of the region, since these elements were left on a road route where, constantly, the inhabitants travel.
These highly destructive elements had a radio frequency activation method and were found by troops at a distance of 10 meters from each other, which required the closure of the roads to carry out the destruction procedure in safe and controlled conditions by the Explosives and Demolitions Team EXDE.
Colombian National Army denounces this type of terrorist actions that put the life and integrity of the inhabitants at risk, which violates human rights and international humanitarian law due to the use of these unconventional weapons.
