With a finding of 500 kg of the drug, the finances of the structures under the command of alias Ivan Mordisco continue to be hit, weakening their logistical and expansion capacity.
In an operation carried out in the village Panorama, in the municipality of La Plata, department of Huila, the Ninth Brigade of Colombian National Army, through the Infantry Battalion No. 26 Cacique Pigoanza, the Light Cavalry Group No. 6 and with the judicial support of the Huila Police, approximately 500 kilograms of marijuana were found by troops that were transported in a van; the driver was in the same way arrested.
The first investigations indicate that the shipment had been obtained in the department of Cauca and was destined for the interior of the country. The substance would belong to the residual organized armed group Hernando Gonz谩lez Acosta, of the Isa铆as Pardo Central Block, which finances a good part of its criminal operations through drug trafficking.
The commercial price of the shipment exceeds 300 million pesos, taking into account that each kilogram of marijuana would cost approximately 600,000 pesos.
However, if we consider its retail distribution, the amount would be much higher: the 500 kilograms are equivalent to one million doses of 0.5 grams each, with an average cost of 2000 pesos per dose, which represents about 2,000 million pesos in illicit profits that this criminal structure stops receiving.
Beyond the numbers, this result represents an important step in protecting the health and safety of communities, by preventing these substances from reaching children and young people, the main victims of this problem.
