The confiscated items were put into custody of the environmental authorities for their respective process.
Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan, in the village of El Limón, department of Guaviare, troops of the Infantry Battalion n° 19, of the Twenty-Second Rainforest Brigade, in a joint and coordinated work with the National Navy and the National Police, reported the finding of an illicit stockpile of wood.
During the operation, approximately nine cubic meters of wood were found by troops, costing $11,700,000, as well as a chainsaw with a commercial cost close to $4,000,000, elements that would be being used for the illicit exploitation of natural resources.
This result of the military operation shows the commitment of the Twenty-Second Rainforest Brigade to the protection of the environment and the preservation of natural resources, contributing to the sustainable development of the region.
