This space fills with hope the people of the region who will now have a new place for medical assistance.
Military engineers, in coordination with the National Disaster Risk Management Unit, supported the transfer and unloading of a field hospital in the department of La Guajira, with the purpose of benefiting about 57,000 people in the area.
It took four days to transfer this hospital from the city of Bogot谩 to the village of Nazareth, municipality of Uribia, in Alta Guajira. This complex displacement presented great challenges due to the difficult topographical conditions.
This second-level hospital space will benefit the inhabitants of the villages of the northern area of Alta Guajira, such as Puerto Estrella, Puerto L贸pez, Punta Espada, Guarerpa, Castilletes, Taroa, Siapana, Taguaira and Nazareth, which will contribute to meet the basic needs and access to health.
