Hundreds of inhabitants benefited from a wide range of health and beauty services, recreational activities and donation of humanitarian aid, thanks to Colombian National Army and the partners of the Unified operation.
The streets of Yotoco, Valle del Cauca were decorated in the celebration of its 402 years of foundation with a great health and well-being activity that benefited more than 2,000 people.
From very early on, the activity began with the Soy Mujer Runner 4K athletic race, in which 200 women of all ages participated, who enjoyed this sporting event that continues to support physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
In the facilities of the Alfonso Zadwazky School, the Professional Reserve Officers of Colombian National Army assisted patients in medical services such as: general medicine, urology, psychology, dentistry, pediatrics, legal advice, distribution of prescription medicines, veterinary services, among others.
During the protocol ceremony, the Mayor's Office of Yotoco and the Alfonso Zadwazky School awarded a plaque of recognition to General Luis Emilio Cardozo SantaMar铆a, commander of Colombian National Army, for his leadership as an illustrious son of the municipality and his outstanding operation as a military.
The recreation for families was in charge of the soldiers of Comprehensive operation, who used their tools such as balloon flexion, cotton candy and crisper, to brighten the hearts of children and adults participating in the activity. In addition, they took care of all the institutional coordination to make this event possible.
The mayor (in charge), Ana Mercedes Zabala, thanked Colombian National Army for its collaboration and emphasized that such initiatives strengthen ties between the institutions and the community. "It is really important the activity of the Army today that we celebrate the 402 years of the municipality, thanks for this health brigade that they brought to the community," said the local leader.
Following the rhythm of salsa with the Son del Tr茅bol orchestra, the activity closed, where Colombian National Army ratified its commitment to continue working for the development and progress of communities in the southwest of the country.
