cogfm_arc._fotos._ejercicio_colombia_-_francia_09.jpg

Within the framework of the international cooperation agreements by Colombia and France, units of the Colombian Navy and the French National Navy carried out training exercises in Colombian Caribbean waters.

In the exercise carried out under the leadership of the Caribbean Naval Force with the participation of the Colombian Navy Missile Corvette ARC Tono and the French ship Dumont DUrville, tactical maneuvers, boarding exercises, visit and inspection, communications check, tactical phonetic calls, training, among others, were conducted, testing the resources of the warship and the logistics ship, thus strengthening the established procedures for the missions of each of them. In the same way, they brought to the Colombian and French military the exchange of experiences to increase interoperability and the level of training in security, assistance and control tasks at sea.

The implementation of this type of exercises contributes to the collective construction of timely and appropriate responses to major global challenges in security and defense.

The Colombian Navy, within the framework of the Naval Bicentenary, will continue to carry out combined naval exercises and training, through which it makes visible its resources to safeguard and defend maritime interests, counter threats and face common challenges for the protection of the nation.
