In a coordinated work, conducted by the Colombian Navy and the Government of the Department of Chocó, through the Departmental Risk Management Unit, it was possible to transport 10 tons of humanitarian aid destined to the communities of Riosucio, Chocó department, and the Darién region, severely hit by the wave caused by rains.
These aids were transferred on board the Heavy River Support Patrol Boat ARC Guillermo Londoño, which navigated towards the vulnerable condition villages, carrying with it not only food and first necessity items, but in the same way a message of solidarity and hope.
The humanitarian operation became a symbol of commitment to life, where coordinated work was prepared to reaching territories hit by heavy rains, providing immediate relief to families who lost everything.
The Government of the Department of Chocó highlighted the invaluable support of the Naval Institution, highlighting that only with teamwork the challenges can be overcome and real solutions can be brought to the communities in need.
