Colombian navy and Honduran police find ton and a half of drugs of GAO Clan del Golfo

With intelligence of the Colombian Navy, the Honduran National Police managed, over the weekend, to find 1,448 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, equivalent to more than three million doses of the drug, that were hidden in an illegal hideout, in the area of Barra Lim贸n, Municipality of Lim贸n, Department of Col贸n (Honduras).

In recent days, Colombian naval Intelligence identified the departure of a shipment of narcotics aboard a go Fast boat of the municipality of Tinajones in the Department of C贸rdoba, to the Central American country. There criminal organizations waited for the merchandise and hid it underground in 28 sacks.

The drug apparently belongs to the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, and its value in the US illegal market exceeds 49 million dollars, money that thanks to the decisive and coordinated operation conducted by the two countries will not enter the financial structures of this group that commits crimes in the subregion of the Gulf of Morrosquillo.

The Colombian Navy will continue to carry out multinational operations against the entire chain of drug trafficking, while reaffirming its frontal fight against drug trafficking and all the factors of instability that attack security and life in the countries of the region.
