The Colombian Navy attended the emergency of Spanish tourists who were in the insular area of Cartagena, who would have been threatened because they did not accessed tourist services provided by a group of people in the place, at noon yesterday Sunday, August 27, 2023.
Through the Coast Guard Station of Cartagena, the Naval Institution received information from the nautical productive groups about the threat to which the crew of the boat MAUI OCEAN would have been subjected, by individuals who, on board their boats, intimidated tourists with words and threats, given their refusal to obtain tourist services in the insular area.
Once the alert was received, the Coast Guard moved a team to verify the situation, in the place the Sailors of Colombia found the tourists on board their boat, after verifying their health status and the reported information, accompaniment was carried out during their stay of the tourist in the place.
With information provided by the tourists involved in the incident, the units in the area conducted the search for the individuals without positive results.
