In a quick reaction, a Coast Guard unit of the Colombian navy carried out the evacuation of a minor, belonging to the El Progreso Indigenous community, who had wounds on his right hand caused by a short-cut element; the child was transported from the sector Isla Micos to the Victoria Regia Pier, in Leticia.

This humanitarian assistance operation was carried out after providing support to the call of the father of the child, who informed the military of the Coast Guard of the Amazon, about the accident that involved the right hand of the child.

Immediately, the protocols for the care of this emergency were established and directed, deploying the appropriate crew, which led to the transfer of the minor with his father to the dock, where he was received by a medical and assistance team of the health establishment of the municipality, who continued with the first aid care and stabilized the minor.

Sailors of the Colombian Navy in the Colombian Amazon with the #CorazonASuLado (BlueHeartWithYou) watch Daily to safeguard the lives of the inhabitants of this area of the country, complying with all biosecurity protocols in time of pandemic.
