Units of the Navy of Colombia work for the safety of the different maritime activities, they carry out a permanent basis accompaniment to the maritime productive groups for their transportation in the Colombian Caribbean Sea.
During the last few days, 13 maritime accompaniment caravans have been carried out for the safe mobility of more than 84 people in the Gulf of Urabá and the Gulf of Morrosquillo; and an accompaniment caravan of 25 people from Coveñas (Sucre) to Cartagena (Bolívar).
In the same way, yesterday afternoon, our Coast Guard crewmen provided humanitarian assistance to a woman who was in labor and required hospital assistance, so immediately a Coast Guard rapid reaction unit evacuated the woman with her companion from the archipelago of San Bernardo to Coveñas, where she was transferred to a hospital.
