Colombian Navy units in joint operations with the National Army, the Colombian Air Force and coordinated with the National Police destroyed three laboratories for the production of coca base paste in the Department of Putumayo.

During operations carried out by troops attached to the Navy Infantry River Battalion no.33, 130 kilograms of solid precursors, 40 kilograms of coca leaf, 700 gallons of liquid precursors and 211 kilograms of coca base in solution were found by troops.

The operations were carried out in the municipality of Puerto Guzmán, in the sector known as El Hueso. The material was found inside illegal structures used for drug production that were destroyed under controlled conditions. The elements were put into custody of the authority. There were no arrests at the scene.

The destruction of these illegal structures directly hits the finances of the residual organized armed group, GAO-r, Carolina Ramírez that commits crimes in the region, and stops the loss of the environment areas that occurs in these places due to the arbitrary use of toxic chemicals.
